Collingwood to Host Parade Celebrating Collingwood Blues OJHL Buckland Cup Champions

Come celebrate the Collingwood Blues, your 2023 Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) Buckland Cup Champions, at a community parade Saturday, May 27th at 11:00 a.m. Starting at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena parking lot, the parade will travel south on Ste. Marie Street, west on Hume Street, north on Hurontario Street, east on Simcoe Street, and finally back to the EBMA parking lot. 

Spectators should view from the safety of the sidewalks, as all roads along the route will remain open while the parade is escorted in procession by Collingwood’s OPP.

Wear your Collingwood Blues team colours (blue, white, and gold) or favourite team jersey and share your excitement and admiration for a well-earned championship season by your home-town team! 

The Blues are currently representing the OJHL at the National Junior A Championships taking place in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The team has won their first two games of the 2023 Centennial Cup tournament, beating the Steinbach Pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League 2-1 in overtime on May 11th and 3-1 over the Battleford North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League on May 13th. The Collingwood Blues play next on Tuesday, May 16th against the Kam River Fighting Walleye of the Superior International Junior Hockey League.
